The Challenge: The Bangladesh Market is not very structured when it comes to talent related parameters such as domain expertise. We observed that that although the talent available had the requisite skills and expertise, but finding a true match in terms of domain expertise was a challenge. Going the conventional way of hiring people through databases or professional networking sites had limitations.
The Solution: NextPlay mapped out the talent in Bangladesh Energy sector. The approach we took was to have as many interactions as possible with talent that was available. One on ones with people in industry helped us size the market as well. References received from such interactions helped us zero down on the most relevant profiles which were eventually shortlisted for the position. The position was closed within a span of 2 months.
